WHAT THE COOL PARISIANS HAD TO SAY, PARIS SPRING 2018 TRENDS - PART TWO
THE TRENDS THE COOL PARISIAN'S DO BEST, PART TWO
At Maison Margiela it was deconstruction in it's truest form, putting the pieces back together again, in an endless array of a Galliano trench coats.
It was clearly a come back for the short at Saint Laurent. Never before have I felt an whelming desire to own a pair of leather shorts, thanks Saint Laurent! But let's not forget the 80’s prom puffs in taffeta paired back with velvet, leather and sequins. Call me crazy but I kinda like the 80’s revival.
This seasons Chloé “it” girl most definitely lives a "gypsette" inspired life and she may even travel “with the band”. It wouldn’t have been surprised to see Kate Hudson’s character from Almost Famous gracing the Chloé runway this season. Penny Lane most certainly would have had a wardrobe full of Chloé Spring 2018. Folky embellishment, delicate floaty florals, back with a touch of suede and velvet.
At Isbabel Marant the 80’s flashback lived on with a spattering of tracksuit pants and metallic taffeta high-waisted pants . Marant did deliver what I believe to be the best jumpsuit on the runway this season.
