Towards the end of last year the super zesty hue known as "Greenery" was announced as the Pantone colour for 2017. Much like fashion trends these much-anticipated colour forecasts take into consideration many different elements including interiors and lifestyle trends. It’s clear that Greenery is a symbol for health, wellbeing, our natural surroundings and, of course, every single green juice on the market!

However, while we can expect green to feature heavily in collections for Fall/Winter 2017 and into Spring/Summer 2017 it’s doubtful that Greenery will be a hero shade as it's tangy, almost yellow hue is far from complementary to skin tones. Instead, I believe green will be interpreted through earthier tones with khaki, olive green, jungle green and maybe even Pantone’s “Kale” coming through as the dominant shades across all fashion categories. Rich jewel tones such as emerald green will also prevail and continue to hero in collections, particularly when used in luxurious fabrics such as silk and velvet.
