Trends : Colour Blocking

A design trend traditionally reserved for summer and resort seasons, colour blocking made its way into many an AW17 collection with a bang! A simple look, yet with striking effect - colour blocking is described as, the concept of wearing multiple solid colours together in one complete outfit. An outfit revolving around a palette of two or more colors, usually in bold and bright shades. Delpozo, the master of bold colours set the tone for the AW17 trend exhibiting the versatility of Yves Klein's blue (or International Klein Blue) back with burnt orange and ox-blood. Other’s joined the colour block party too - Raff Simon’s debut RTW collection for Calvin Klein portrayed a clean, somewhat street-wear influenced example of how to mix brights, whilst Phillip Lim paired all the hues back with fairy floss pink, delicious!
